Business Intelligence Developer

Our client, a leader distributor and exporter of meat and seafood in South Florida and The Caribbean,  is currently looking for a Business Intelligence Developer

Qualifications / Requirements

Qualification, Skills, and Requirements:

Microsoft SSAS, SSIS, SSRS Developer with the following responsibilities and skills:

  • Hands on SQL Programming, subject matter expert for MS SQL server and MS SQL databases
  • Ability to Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to database integrity, database performance (deadlock, blocking, etc.)
  • Provide solutions, able to write complex procedures and views using T-SQL
  • Application Maintenance & Support, Exposure on Production support, adherence to SLAs, Day time and night time on call support (fix on failure), Project development using SDLC cycle
  • Experienced working with Agile Scrum methodology and Team Foundation Server 2012/13
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work
  • Interact with Business Analysts and Application Architect as it relates to requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Great organizational skills, attention to detail and follow thru
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent andor related experience and training preferred
  • 2-3 years of BI Development experience
  • Bilingual candidates are desired but not required (English and Spanish)


Knowledge of the following tools:

  • MS Visual Studio 2013-2015
  • SQL Management Studio 2014



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test and maintain custom business solutions by leverage state of the art software development practices using an agile methodology
  • Evaluate business requirement and help define problems and develop solutions
  • Participate in design and architecture discussions with business leaders, end users and IT team members
  • Document business requirements and solution, document code and provide support for creation of end user documentation
  • Update business knowledge, technical skills and soft skills, leverage educational opportunities, participate in professional organizations
  • Strive to leverage all your knowledge and skills to add value to the organization and the team
