Our client is a leading telecommunication and digital services provider which serves 50 million customers and employees over 12,000 people around the world. They are currently looking for a Chief Financial Officer, to join their team in Honduras.

As CFO, you will enable the execution of the strategy and achievement of company goals by partnering with the business to provide guidance and expert advice based on deep commercial understanding and sound financial predictive analytics. It leads the finance function to create sustainable value, protect the assets of the company, and manage business performance indicators.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bilingual, English and Spanish
  • Proven ability to work across business verticals with industry knowledge (financial, utilities, agro industrial, healthcare, government, retail and education)
  • Highly capable to understand, design, negotiate and execute Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all key service providers
  • Ability to produce accurate and timely information in a high dynamic work environment


  • Management of financial risk, planning record keeping in addition to financial reporting
  • Secure the proper financing required by the operation to successfully accomplish all business objectives
  • Analysis of all relevant data that details business performance in order to support, validate and/or challenge the business strategy
  • Accountable for managing Capex investments and their profitability whilst creating the proper environment to forecast future Capex needs for the operation
  • Actively participate in leading the strategic planning process, budgeting and implementation of a reliable forecasting process
  • Design and implementing procedures and controls required to guarantee the quality of information and protection of all company assets
  • Lead the Business Decision Support function that provide actionable insights based on accurate financial information
  • Proactively challenge the commercial trends to support business decisions aimed at continuous improvement of results
  • Involvement in key negotiations and decision making for all critical investments of company
  • Oversees the administration of liquidity risk, cash management, debt issuance, foreign exchange interest rate risk
  • Leader responsible of securing the implementation, operation, and continuous oversight of all controls related to SOX compliance
  • Fully responsible of leading the compliance of all corporate policies and relevant local and international regulations where we operate
  • Lead the activities related to internal external audit continuous exercises
  • Responsible for producing accurate and timely accounting information of business results complying with corporate, local and international regulations and standards
  • Manage and supervise the adequate tracking and accounting of all fixed assets of the company
  • Accountable for producing and managing all information related to taxes, tariffs and contributions according to local legal requirements
  • Responsible of implementing accounting processes and procedures that are consistent with IFRS and local accounting standards
  • Coordinate with legal department the appropriate management of all legal entities that build the company
  • Design and implement the right finance organization by structuring, recruiting, training and retaining top talent
  • Must create and implement a formal development and succession plan for all key positions in the finance department

Education / Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Masters is a requirement: MBA, Finance
  • CPA preferred, but not entirely required depending on previous professional experience


  • At least 10 years corporate finance experience managing multiple markets or Business Units
  • Vast experience in highly complex and demanding negotiations
  • Experience working with an ERP
