Credit and Collections Analyst

Our client, a leader distributor and exporter of meat and seafood in South Florida and The Caribbean,  is currently looking for a Credit & Collections Analyst  to assist with credit and debit adjustments, and reconcile accounts.

 

The position requires someone who is great with numbers, sharp, has great attention to detail, and can multitask and perform the functions of their job in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications / Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; the equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
  • Must have Microsoft GP Dynamics experience
  • 1-2 years of collections experience (preferred in the food distribution business)
  • Bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically in excel
  • Strong  communication skills
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organization skills

Responsibilities

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the collection activities of current, past due and delinquent accounts; both domestic and international
  • Provides customer service and develops internal (sales, buyers, amongst others) and external customers, vendors, and collection agencies relationships
  • Prepares reports on accounts receivables status
  • Maintains up to date collection records for each client in accounting database
  • Reconciles deductions and outstanding invoices
  • Reviewing and releasing accounts based on credit standing
  • Assist with payment schedules and plans
  • Assist with application of payments
  • Perform credit and debit adjustments
