Our client is a leading domestic broker and logistics service provider worldwide looking for a highly motivated team player who is dedicated to excellence and welcomes challenging and rewarding opportunities to join their team as Sales Director to develop national sales.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Travel required
  • 5-8 years of experience in sales
  • Experience in the Transportation Industry

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient sales strategies.
  • Hire, supervise and develop sales employees to ensure a high level of productivity and performance.
  • Train and coach sales employees in prospecting efforts.
  • Develop new major client accounts.
  • Travel and perform regular follow-up sales calls with customers ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and attain sales budgets and margin objectives.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on sales activities, sales representative performance, and market trends.
  • Perform regular business intelligence activities in the market and inform senior management on market conditions, trends, and competitor’s activities.
  • Improve sales program, products and services on an ongoing basis by following closely client’s needs and market trends.
  • Engage in entertainment and promotional activities with existing and prospective clients.
  • Manage promotional efforts to increase market share and visibility.
  • Enforce corporate policies and ensure compliance with established corporate procedures.
  • Portfolio of achievements growing a business or product and consistently exceeding revenue targets and company goals.
  • Develop technology expertise including client demos.

Background

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales.
  • A Book of clients highly preferred.
  • Experience in developing and coaching a sales team.
  • Develop technology expertise including client demos.
  • Experience in the logistics/freight forwarding/ Brokerage industry.
  • Proven track record in national sales development.
  • High level of management, communication and organization skills.
