Group Logistics Process & Compliance Manager (JN -012020-4104)

Our client is a leading telecommunication and digital services provider which serves 50 million customers and employees over 12,000 people around the world and they are currently looking for a Group Logistics Process & Compliance Manager, in Panama.

The role will be accountable for supervising and monitoring the efficient, effective, compliant and sustainable execution of logistics processes.  The Manager implements the right set of Logistics KPIs, supports logistics budgeting, coordinates third-party performance management and performs regular activity audits.  In scope are inbound, outbound and reverse logistics activities, in all our Latam Opcos.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Knowledgeable of Internal Controls and SOX Compliance requirements in Logistics
  • Fluent in Spanish (preferably native) and English, both verbal and written
  • Advanced communication and influencing skills
  • Eye for detail, never compromising on information accuracy
  • Highest ethical and business standards
  • Very strong analytical and problem solving
  • Very structured business writing skills


Execute Logistics Performance Management

  • Develop and implement a coherent set of Logistics KPIs
  •  Monitor the Logistics KPIs and provide monthly executive summaries
  • Support the preparation of annual logistics budgets, consolidate at Group level, and monitor monthly / quarterly budget execution

Manage Logistics 3rd Parties

  • Monitor the execution of 3rd party contracts in Logistics, in collaboration with the Local Logistics and Procurement teams
  • Ensure regular local formal business reviews and annual evaluations of vendor performance, consolidate performance at Group-level, and prepare & facilitate Group Business review with the main 3rd party Logistics service providers
  • Follow-up on the improvement activities agreed with 3rd parties

Manage Logistics Assets

  • Monitor and ensure timely renewal of leases relevant to our supply chain
  • Ensure appropriate insurance and maintenance of our assents and working capital, including inventories, in our end-to-end supply chain

Act as Logistics Business Process Owner

  • Develop and implement procedures, standard operating practices and guidelines to ensure best-in-class execution of logistics activities
  • Coordinate the implementation and automate of these processes

Perform Logistics Controls & Audits

  • Audit the local operations and test their compliance to the set standards & controls, possibly in collaboration of Business Controls and Internal/External Audit
  • Anticipate and address potential fraud in Logistics
  • Drive a culture of Compliance and Health and Safety in our Supply Chains

Education / Training

  • College or master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Finance


  • Over 5 years of business experience, of which minimal 2 year in monitoring and improving logistics operations in an international / multi-country context, including warehousing, inbound and outbound transportation and customs clearance
  • Experienced in leading performance and activity audits in a logistics context
  • Experienced in interpreting and summarizing performance KPIs into insightful reports and recommendations
  • Experienced in developing and monitoring budgets across countries
