Indirect Procurement Manager (JN -012020-4109)

Our client is a leading telecommunication and digital services provider which serves 50 million customers and employees over 12,000 people around the world and they are currently looking for a  Indirect Procurement Manager .

The Indirect Procurement Manager develops category strategies and executes supplier sourcing initiatives for the main purchases in a number of Indirect spend categories, across Latin America and HQ locations. The Manager also tracks vendor performance and initiates improvement actions as required with the Vendor. The Manager also helps ensure that the procure-to-pay transactions are properly executed by local team and shared service center. Geographic scope: all Latam Countries

Qualifications / Requirements

 

  • College degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering
  • Knowledge of general Procurement and Supply Chain processes
  • Native Spanish speaker, fluent in English

 

Responsibilities

Support Category Management

  • Understand the company-wide spend, internal stakeholders and future business requirements
  • Understand the relevant supply market dynamics and understand specific supplier capabilities
  • Support the development of category procurement strategies
  • Plan procurement initiatives, aligned with Local, Regional, and Group stakeholders
  • Measure and report on procurement category progress and performance in terms of savings, lead times and sustainability & compliance

Execute strategic sourcing

  • Identify and coordinate the needs for local and company-wide strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Develop powerful sourcing strategies and tactics
  • Lead and execute sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations
  • Implement best-in-class contracts and supply agreements

Manage Supplier Relationships

  • Manage the regional relationship between the company and its suppliers on a day-to-day base
  • Manage supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary
  • Organize business review meetings and annual supplier evaluation

Develop People and Processes

  • Train local procurement teams on best practice procurement tactics in Indirect spend area
  • ​Fine-tune the procurement processes for the category scope
  • Measure and consolidate category KPIs and provide feedback to local and global Management (spend covered, savings, project lead times, compliance)
  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with Group Ethics policy and Corporate Social Responsibility

Education / Training

 

  • Minimum 7 years of business experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a procurement role focused on sourcing
  • Minimum 2 years experience with sourcing Commercial spend categories, i.e. Marketing Agencies and Media, ideally in the Latin American market.
  • Fully independent in executing supplier negotiations and drafting supply agreements, within the Categories in scope
  • Good understanding of contract law and accounting practices
  • Proven experience to structure and manage vendor relationships across geographic boundaries
