Project Portfolio Coordinator

Our client is in the Banking Industry and is currently seeking a Project Portfolio Coordinator.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 3+ years as a Project Manager and experience in the financial and/or banking industry.
  • BS in Engineering or related field.
  • Understanding of PMBOK, industry project management processes, methodologies and tools including MS Project is a must.
  • Understanding of resource management/capacity planning concepts, methodologies and techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience of CPM (Critical Path Method) principles of project scheduling.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both, English and Spanish.
  • Ability to adequately organize and structure presentations and reports is a plus.
  • Solid organizational and Time Management skills.
  • Ability to resolve problems with clearly identifies root cause and preset recommendations.
  • Change and Risk Management experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and in a highly matrix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gather customer requirements and document projects vision and objectives.
  • Assist in overseeing, coordinating, and reporting status of the Bank’s project portfolio.
  • Support all processes of the project life-cycle: Initiation, Planning, Executing and Controlling, and Closing according to Project Management best practices.
  • Provide quality assurance role ensuring that projects are well documented and adhere to appropriate standards, good practices and governance.
  • Assists with the Portfolio of Projects reporting to Executive Management
  • Maintains performance indicators to measure portfolio’s performance and health.
  • Assists employees in the PMO processes, procedures, and methodology best practices.
  • Assist in the implementation of resource management/capacity planning process.

Education / Training

  • BS in Engineering or related field.
