A recruiter just called you after you submitted your resume for a position you are interested in, or maybe they contacted you after they saw your CV posted online and something on our your profile caught their eye and think you might be a good fit por a position they have.
Either way, it’s good news! Definitely your resume shows something they’re interested in. But now that they called you for the screening session it’s your chance to win this person. Otherwise you won’t make it to the next round and won’t even get to meet the hiring manager.
- Show you know the basics: if you don’t know anything about this company, try to search a little information about it.
- Show you’re truly interested: don’t make it seem like you’re making everyone waste their time by acting as if you don’t care if you get the jib or not.
- Show you can fit the corporate culture: personality-wise show yourself as an open and amicable person as well as easygoing
- Understand the recruiter’s role: most of them are interested in filling the position. Don’t be afraid to win him over or asking to give you some inputs that will help you get the job.
