If you want to hire the right people, you have to start by being true to what your company is and what you are offering. According to a blog post by Matt Rivera Hiring the right people is easy (just ask the ancient Greeks) you need to be “true to thyself.” How do you do this? Simple.
1. Write a real job description. Focus on a job description that truly states the job. Don’t try to make it seem more interesting or sophisticated by adding a description that has nothing to do with the job opportunity.
2. Understand your culture and why someone would fit in your company culture. Take this into full consideration.
3. Be real in your interview, do not sell your company for what it’s not.
4. Plan ahead. Hiring people does take time.
