Director of Finance (JN -062022-4891)

A high-profile, fast-growing, new alcohol brand is expanding throughout the United States and is looking for someone to be their new Finance Director. This position is actively involved in the market to identify growth opportunities and will provide a combination of routine deliverables and advanced ad-hoc analysis to the sales teams. The position requires a hands-on individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills who is highly analytical and can use the information to impact a wide range of stakeholders from different business functions.

📍 Remote (Travel up to 15% of the time)

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, pricing, or commercial analytics role
  • Experiences inside the Spirits industry
  • Experience with business systems, syndicated data, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong pricing and financial judgment; P&L management and analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Assertive communicator with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization


  • Key partner and advisor to regional sales teams.
  • Maintain accountability for accuracy of market-level spending within a budget.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and latest financial estimates with input from the sales and marketing teams
  • Provide business performance monitoring and insights to key stakeholders
  • Develop analyses to support leadership decision making and conduct post-program analysis to assess return on investment
  • Present financial reviews of the business to the CEO and distribution partners
  • Provide business performance tracking and insights to key stakeholders
  • Period-end close responsibilities, including preparation of accruals and analysis of actual results vs. budget/forecast
  • Coach sales teams to make profitable decisions
  • Improve net sales performance by actively identifying strategic and tactical pricing optimization opportunities
  • Plan and execute the annual pricing plan, including price increases and pricing strategy changes
  • Recommend counter pricing tactics to the commercial team
  • Ensure market compliance with brand pricing strategy through periodic market surveys/syndicated data analysis and work with the sales team to execute adjustment plans and the Marketing team to adjust brand strategies to market dynamics when necessary
  • Conduct price elasticity studies to determine volume and revenue implications of price changes across channels and customers

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, business administration, or related ones
