Our client is a semi-custom builder of center console saltwater fishing boats and catamarans. They are looking for an HR manager to provide effective human resource management by developing and implementing policies, programs, and services that contribute to the attainment of company and employee goals by properly balancing the needs of the employees and the needs of the company. Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s talent in all regards, including recruiting, retention, and succession
  • Actively drive organizational development in close alignment with COO and executive team, enabling the company’s growth plan
  • Oversee outsourced payroll process
  • Develop a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys
  • Develop training materials and performance management programs
  • Reinvent company’s employee handbook, ensuring the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Education / Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area

Background

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with human resources information system (HRIS)
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resources strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring, and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment relations
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity collaboration, and teamwork
  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
  • Knowledge of Federal, Florida State, and Miami employment and benefits laws/regulations
