The Internal Communications Sr. Manager is a dynamic leadership role, responsible for
driving innovative, fresh, fun campaigns and communications, in alignment with
company and organizational effectiveness purpose and vision. The purpose if the role is
keeping employees connected and informed by creating a shared understanding of Tigo
strategy, business needs, culture, and guidelines, while providing access to key
information to stay productive to achieve a high-performance & engaged organization

Qualifications / Requirements

Qualifications and Experience
• A bachelor’s in journalism, communications, or marketing is an advantage, though other
related degrees could be acceptable.
• A minimum of eight years relevant corporate experience leading a communications
team for a large organization, is most sought after. Experience in managing
communication for a variety of audiences is also desired.
• Resourceful, collaborative, and creative thinker with proven experience driving
innovative, fresh, fun campaigns and communications. This includes experience in
design, writing editing and video production.
• Deep understanding of leading internal communications best practices in new digital
environments
• Self-starter with proven project management experience and the ability to achieve
results in a fast-paced environment; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in measuring the effectiveness of marketing and communications strategies
• Excellent communicator who can build rapport quickly across all levels.
• Highly skilled in facilitating meetings and creating and delivering presentations to a
variety of in-person and remote audiences.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment interact with employees worldwide
• Superior communication skills: verbal and written
• Full proficiency in English and Spanish
• Superior people management and project management skills, but also a ‘hands-on’
attitude to work.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
• Defines and executes an internal communication strategy and framework
• Conceptualizes and oversees the development and dissemination of internal awareness
campaign and communication deliverables, in line with Tigo Brand.
• Understand business strategy and identify enterprise goals to filter and identify
communication priorities
• Defines internal target audiences to receive communications; oversees development of
targeted, audience-specific versions of communications as required.
• Proactively identifies and maximize new and different internal communication channels
and offerings.

• Leads, develops, and manages internal communication for the key transformation
initiatives within the organization.
• Creates continuous awareness and develops communication campaigns to foster Tigo’s
diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy.
• Build innovative ways to tell the story to drive the purpose, strategy and Sangre Tigo culture
• Directly manage the communication for the executive team (CEO and EVPs)
• Leads and keep organized the internal communication function within the organization
• Continuously matures/refines communications methods, channels, etc. based on industry
best practices
• Regularly reports reach, effectiveness and impacts of campaigns and communications;
continually monitors metrics and feedback to make data-driven strategic or tactical
adjustments as needed, in line with business needs and leadership direction.
• Responsible to manage the relationship with third parties such as communication and
brand agencies
• Manages a cross-border, hybrid team to develop and disseminate campaigns and
communication deliverables.
• Engages and manages external vendors as needed to deliver campaign deliverables,
including development of creative briefs, project and budget management.
• Builds a network of internal communications contacts to facilitate the dissemination of
campaign materials
