Strategy Analyst

Our client is a leading company in the IT field. They are currently looking for a Strategy Analyst to oversee and analyze overall investment budget and plans by operation, reviewing assumptions and driving efficiencies.

Qualifications / Requirements

    • Relevant experience in a top consultancy firm in Strategy and/or M&A is strongly desired
    • Relevant experience in the Telecommunications industry is desired
    • Solid understanding of corporate finance, financial modeling, economics and risk management concepts
    • Must be proficient in English and Spanish
    • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Control and enforce the company’s CAPEX allocation process and policy, acting as gate-keeper of the global CAPEX execution
  • Ensure and enforce overall strategy and goals controlling overall investment budget and 5-year plan by operation
  • Plan, budget and forecast to ensure business decisions are focused on maximizing value creation, financial targets are met, and business controls are strong
  • Define processes, policies & templates related to Investments approval and execution control
  • Drive post-investment analysis of select projects to assess the real return on investment
  • Coordinate periodic CapEx Committee meetings with Group COO, CFO and CTIO according to the CapEx policy
  • Develop financial models to value organic investments (based on NPV, IRR, ROIC) and produce high-quality analysis to support capital allocation decisions
  • Partner with other departments at Senior Management Level – OpCos, Group Finance, Procurement, IT and Technology to enhance the investment strategy, cost control and capital allocation process

Education / Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, ideally with majors in Finance and/or Strategy. MBA or master’s degree in finance is desired
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in Consulting, Finance, Strategy, M&A, telecommunications
